Regarding the MTF oil (if that is still relevant), Land Rover dealers stock it.

I'll change the oil as advised, then take it from there,if it turns out to be the crb,is there any way of silencing it other than replacement?

Thanks mark,I've been advised to get mercedes approved oil,so I'll try that,no way is the same garage that did the clutch getting anywhere near the car again,I would rather pay the expert to remove the box and check the bearing ,than let that other numpty wreck something again.

I bought my mtf94 oil from Quickco at Rainton near Fence Houses , i can't remember the the cost of the 2 bottles but it was MGR branded and was a red fully synthetic oil. If the fault is the clutch slave cylinder/thust bearing which is what it sounds like to me , it should have come with a 12 month warranty so i'd be speaking with the garage asap.
