Unhappy Harsh suspension

Can anyone advise why my cdti suspension quality is so harsh over even minor bumps. The tyre pressures are correct and the coil springs look ok visually . Everything is standard with no modifications, wheels are alloy serpentines. It just seems I have to avoid any pothole no matter how small or large. It's a late 2004 if that helps. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Sounds unusual? Now if you had a ZT Are you sure a previous owner hasn't changed something? Dave

if all looks to be ok ,then maybe a previous owner fitted the zt conponents instead of the 75 ...

I think the springs have a code colour on them but I'm not sure what the colour should be for your's.

Maybe it is fitted with the MG Sports suspension, which was an option.

Thanks for all the info,I've still got to check the type of springs but the ride does seems to be getting worse.last night going up a small Kerb it was like hitting a brick wall . It's felt right through the steering wheel and it doesn't feel smooth at all. I will have a good look over the weekend, maybe I should just change the coil springs and hope that cures the problem.

Hi.
Im new to forum and British cars. But i own MG ZT-T 190 for a week now and i wonder are those springs so hard and sporty by default for this car?
It has realy great and stable cornering, but roads in Latvia are pretty crappy, so i think maybe it's possible to change springs to 75's softer springs and get a bit smoother ride on bumpy roads.
Any thoughts?
