Default Any pros and cons for buying 3rd party wiper rubbers?

I want to get some replacement wiper rubbers

I figured a cheap pair off Ebay

You might have bought some recently from there that were either really rubbish or really good

Any pros and cons for buying 3rd party wiper rubbers?

There's been many a thread on this subject with some members favouring the new flat blade whilst others go for Tesco value or Lidl offers.

I'm using flat blade about £12 the pair I think off ebay, they seem fine. Like all wipers keep them clean with a little white vinegar now and then and they should keep the windscreen smear free.

Bosch aero twin look the part and they are great. Expensive in halfords but not on eBay. Worth getting. Even normal Bosch ones look cheap, the aero twin set the car off nicely.

I used the old Tesco ones (none flat) and they left loads of scratches on my windscreen despite the fact i take care of my cars and make sure the windows are always clean. I've just stuck with Bosch or other well known makes since then. I think one of the last sets i bought were goodyear flat wiper blades from costco however i sold that car on so i'm unable to double check for you.

Bosch Aero are fine for me after trying flat blade which I was not to keen on.
I offered the flat blades free to anybody who could collect. No takers !!
Perhaps it's because they are Blue

I've been using the Valeo flat blades for a while now and they are good. Reasonably priced on eBay. I first tried an unnamed brand but they were very noisy and juddered.

Parker, do you know whether white vinegar works better than wiping with screen wash?

Kearton
