Default RHD powerfold bullets conversion into LHD

Hello guys,
I have "wisely" bought RHD powerfold, even though I live in The Czech Republic on ebay.

I have had them for a couple of years and havenībeen able to do something about it. I can either sell them or convert them. I prefer the second option, but I donīt know how. Can you please advise me what to do to do the conversion?

thank you very much
Martin

I didnt think there was any difference between RHD and LHD powerfolds? Surely there wouldn'tbe be a difference?

Hi Rick,

there is a difference obviously in the angle. As a driver on different side of the car, you need a different angle, which I didnīt realize when buying the powerfold :-(

Nice and shiny powerfolds, but packed in the box for a couple of years :-(

I don't think they can be converted. I think the castings are different.

I tried to get some mirrors for a RHD Citroen herein France but found it was not possible due to the different design between LHD and RHD mirrors.

It's a very easy conversion to do, all you need is a pair of LHD stanchions from a set of non powerfold bullet mirrors and swap them over literally takes a few minutes.
Take off the plastic cover underneath the stanchion, undo the four torx screws guide the wiring out of the old one then reverse the process into the replacement stanchion

I had a new set of LHD ones for the Middle Eastern market and converted them. Had to change the mirror glasses over too.

The stanchions are different I'm afraid
The bullet ones are alloy, the skullcap ones are plastic.

I converted LHD bullet powerfolds to RHD by swapping the stanchions (there is also a roll pin to transfer) but I find my LH mirror just touches the stanchion when folded in.

Has anybody else that has converted LHD bullet powerfolds to RHD had the same problem?

The plastic mirror body actually twists very slightly when it touches the stanchion, as the motor is trying to fold it in too far

Can anybody help please?
