Default New backbox recommendations

Hello everyone,
My backbox has had it the baffles are gone and its making a horrible rattle. I've heard loads of bad things about aftermarket boxes I'm looking for something that is either gonna make the car sound a bit "sportier" or just something that won't drone as I already had to change the entire exhaust to a used orginal one as the aftermarket one that was on the car when I got it made a horrible drone. What are your suggestions?

I recently bought a test ss backbox from www.dmgrs.co.uk.
They are now taking orders for them.
Its very quiet, and seems pretty good quality.
If you have a tourer you will need to extend the twin pies, but they fit straight onto the saloon.
Pricier, but more like the original.

Thank you ! they wont have them for a while I'm not too bothered about the loudness as the KV6 burble is welcomed I'm more concerned about the exhaust having a drone

As above very quiet but NOT Stainless Steel. Well made and look like they will last though

Also note that the 60mm bore (KV6/190) kit is also needed for the 1.8 Turbo.

As I said in the previous post this will not be available till mid December and I don't want to be driving around with an exhaust that sounds like a maraca I guess I'll either have to go custom or whatever cheap aftermarket one temporarily

I have two aftermarket backboxes, used but good condition, I think they both have downturned tails, given to me by another member. they are free to anyone who needs one. you would need to collect or arrange courier. If anyone is interested I will drag them out of my shed and take a couple of pics.

I got a replacement from the Longlife Exhausts franchise near Ipswich. (They were recommended by my usual tyre and exhaust dealer, who was only able to obtain a cheap one with a one year guarantee. They don't appear to be agents now.)
Longlife Exhausts have a lifetime guarantee.

They asked me how noisy I wanted it to be. I said as per standard, but it turned out a bit louder than the original. it is significantly smaller, and I suppose lighter. I wish now that I'd asked for it to be quieter (not listecd as an option) as I'd be happy if it were a bit larger.
