Ask the question,Is it for a RHD car, I bought one off E bay and it was actually for a LHD (marked on the box) which meant removing the cup holder which I thought was more valuable than the phone holder so wasted my money, also needs another part (not supplied with mine)which holds the phone as its just a flat piece of plastic with no clips or brackets, look at the picture it has nothing to hold the phone.

This item fits in place of the passenger cup holder ( otherwise how would you see the phone obscured by your knee and facing towards the passenger seat) and provides a base to attach your phone specific holder to , you have to choose phone or cup whichever you have the greater need of

Exactly!! it would have been against the drivers knee which I agree was useless because it would have fitted into the drivers side cup holder in my car being RHD,
The holder I purchased off E Bay was made for a LHD vehicle and as such a mirror image of what was required.

Sorry i was assuming you were replacing the passenger cup holder , the item in the listing is RHD according to Rimmers .
