DLRs too bright?
I wired up my DLRs this afternoon and taped them temporarily in place so I could change positions and see where I wanna permanently fix them. In the day they are clearly visible and look ok, but at night they are very bright!
I am now wondering if they are too bright? I'm thinking of wiring in a simple rocker switch and locating it inside the cabin so I can switch them off at night. Is there anyway of telling if the DLRs are too bright? I will take some pics and try and upload them tomorrow.

Yeah I know, I should have taken some pics earlier but its been tipping it down here and don't really wanna get soaked taking the pics.
They are 2 strips about 20cm long and at the moment they are positioned acrossways in the recesses above the fogs in the plastic surround.

You could always run them with a relay to the lights - i.e. when the headlights are on, it's reasonable to assume you don't want the DRL's on...

I also found that depending on where I attached the earth wire, the brightness of the leds altered.

Mine were from this seller on Ebay kassamman1
I bought 48cm ones bought ended up cutting them down, so you'd probably be better getting the cheaper 24cm ones.
