Smile Illuminated visor...wiring.?

Hiya. I have a 51 plate 1.8 club. I wish to check if i have the wiring in place for the illuminated sun visor / vanity mirror....How do i do this, and if not.... How would they be wired,/ where to.? Poppy

Put your finger in the hole lol.

or...... ease the headlining down slightly and feel behind there

Hiya Andy..I have just done that....... Cannot feel or see anything..... I presume that the wiring plug would be to hand....If that is the case then i have to assume that i do not have it...grr. lol. Sooooo, if not, where can i wire them to.? Poppy

Hi Poppy
I'm surprised you haven't got them fitted as standard !
I thought it was only the Classic & ZT models that didn't have them.
There is a 'how to' on here if you do a search but you'll need a pair of Visor's (obviously) & either the two looms for them or at least the plug that joins the Visor plug so that that you can make up your own twin core loom.
The loom then runs down the 'A' pillar & connects up under the dash at either side.
You should have connections already in place for this.
As said before, do a search & the 'how to' includes pics.

Or you can wire them into the interior light in the centre.. strange I have never found one that doesnt have the wires in place!

Poppy like andy says they are sometimes taped back under the head-lining

Hiya. Well, i have taken a look at Pab's excellent pre project drive list and according to that i should have them fitted yes.....I shall have to sit and digest what you have written for the next hour...eeek. lol. Poppy

Ill do you a simplified wiring diagram later should you need it, get the soldering iron ready!!! lol
