When I looked into this for the ZS it was deemed the callipers\pistons were too small and actually hurt braking ability when fitted (can't remember the exact post details) as the ZT is bigger with I assume bigger brakes, wouldn't it be even worse?

Didn't the ZT260 (or possibly one of its tuned bretheren, e.g. ZT400/500) have 4 pot AP racing calipers? Those would seem to be a more relevant change.

There is NO WAY I would fit TF calipers to a Zt lol.
They are far too small and weedy to stop a big car like the ZT. Not to mention they are quite small, so would look ridiculous under 18" wheels. Either get the 260 calipers and discs, or pay for an AP racing setup. |

The fronts are the 190 calipers, put mounted 180° around the disc. The rears are bigger (slightly - a few mm), but the discs are insanely expensive. I wouldn't say it's worth t. A better bet would be some sort of 3-series big brake kit... |

The 260 club do the rears much cheaper than the rip off MG Rover pricing...
Calipers at the back are the same as the lotus elise ones. |

Agreed, even a e46 front big pot caliper conversion keeping the 325mm disc would be about as much as any of our cars could ever need.

I find a stick through the spokes brings them to a stop pretty well
