Default Hiline dvb-t help

Been fitting a digital tv unit to the hiline system in the tourer today.

However, I have a problem. It doesn't work!

I have a power to the digi box, and the remote works to turn it on and off. But when I select the AV channel on the hiline, I just get a black screen that says mute in green letters.

I'm using the 'toysinyourcar' wiring adaptor.

The digibox is one off eBay that I saw recommended on this forum.

So has anyone got any tips where I might be going wrong or have I got a duff digibox?

Thanks

Clutching straws...

Might it be showing mute, because its not receiving any signals?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Well it shows mute when i select an analogue channel that's not tuned in as well.

I tried putting an SD media card in the digi box too and that wouldn't work either.

I had same problem, turned out I hadn't put correct plugs in correct places at the unit in the boot. Worth checking that first and checking the pins are not bent and connector fully pushed home.

I'd agree as mine did same when I put input into output from my iPad.
Also make sure it's set to NTSC as I believe PAL won't work.

Regards. Steve.

Well, I've put the male connector on new loom into the White female connector on the tv unit. Then the original male connector into the female connector on the new loom (toysinyourcar).

The loom has audio in, video in, audio out and video out RCA cables. The digibox has 1 video and 2 audio sockets. Anyone confirm which of these I need to connect?

I'll also have another go at setting it to NTSC.

Cheers chaps.

Fingers crossed Chris. I know my rearview cam is NTSC and I had to find a NTSC for any aux input.

Regards. Steve.

Could you perhaps at least confirm the digi box is working by feeding its video output into something else? The RCA plug video output is exactly the same as SCART, you may already have a RCA to SCART adaptor, or perhaps a video monitor of some sort with a RCA input socket.
