odd trim on a 75
been looking at a old english white rover 75 to do up.
Not seen trim like it before, black headliner but the edging trim around the sunroof is sandstone, has black seats and door panels but a sandstone centre console, sandstone A, B and C pillars, sandstone glove box , sunvisors and panels under steering wheel. has dark carpets. Is this somthing MGR did ? |

Maybe it came with an Aubergine interior and someone has had it away - I would!
What trim code is listed on the plate riveted to the bottom of the B pillar passenger side? . Last edited by Mike Noc; 5th November 2020 at 05:32.. |

I’ve never heard of black headlining even in a ZT. They are always either Sandstone Beige or Light Smokestone in a 75 or Light Smokestone only in a ZT.
Black door cards could have come from a ZT, or maybe the previous owner just wanted to get the interior retrimmed. I’ve not seen a combination like that coming out of Cowley or Longbridge before? |

its hard to tell as ive only got photos.
Its in Queensland and im in Perth western Australia, basically im looking at shipping it across the country, ironic as it actually came from here a couple of years ago and still has western australian rego plates on it. Interior is very clean and paint and body in good condition, love the old english white, downside is its a 2001 Connie, done 220,000km,it was running until recently but engine turns over but does not start now. Its being sold very cheap but no history re belts etc. I would imagine it has had at least one set at those km’s. |

Sounds like it's been modified, originally with a Sandstone interior with some bits retrimmed and replaced. I'd be interested to see some pics.

A neighbour has a very nice copperleaf Rover 45 in which he has painted the roof lining copperleaf! It is matt and, surprisingly, doesn't look as bad as it sounds. Sitting in the car you would not guess it was painted from the finish.

I would imagine sitting in the car & looking up makes it feel like you're sat outside of the car The Black headlining mentioned in the original post is definitely a re-trim I'd say. |
