Compensator
Hi Arctic,
Thanks a lot for the compensator. Had it fitted professionally at Horners Auto Service in Salford. Their technicians worked for MG Rover. I mentioned to Dave that fitted it that I wasn't mechanically savvy. On collection, he remarked that I would have struggled; He'd had to loosen the center console - where the radio, heater control knobs etc sit. Then he'd had to run the cable in a certain way under a plate located along the center of the car. After adjustment of the nut under the handbrake, it's now spot on - as it says in the Haynes manual - 'three clicks to hold it, in neutral, on a slope'. I now no longer need to pull the hand brake almost right up when stopped on the flat at say, traffic lights. Now it's just the prescribed yearly adjustment. |

Handbrake Compensator
Hello Paul & Rachel.
I managed to post out your original stainless steel compensators today for you, they should be with you by Friday hopefully so you can fit and have a good working handbrake by the weekend thank you both, please also follow the original fitting instructions below and the fitting should go well for you, as I have heard that some members have taken to removing the seats and console no need to do that cheers Arctic. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...&postcount=103
