What's the general consensus, Bridge or Ferry?

As Bob is with yourself and Matt & Shirley, Daisy-Dawlish, Bazza58 and devon daz are coming down via the A38 and Me & Paul could all just shoot down the A38 and across the bridge rather than travelling through Plymouth for the ferry, would a meet at the Saltash services for 7.45 make sense for all and convoy down together?

Just a thought.
