Does the rev counter needle bounce up when you crank the engine? If so then the crank sensor should be OK. Might be worth replacing the fuel filter if it hasn't been touched in ten years. Change the fuel filter that might help, the O-rings on the regulator may have dried out and shrunk? best bet would to let Andy get his T4 on it, when he can.

Yep, remove the air filter and spray it in while cranking, the propellant is highly flammable and will fire up the engine.
