Default xpower diesel tune upgrade software

hi to all
i hope that there is someone that can help i have the DXT0002W xpower diesel tune upgrade software and it needs a 17 digit code to activate has anyone got any idea what the code looks like is it all numbers or is it numbers and letters of the alphabet i do know that it is based on the vin number so is there vin creator checksum software i was told that bmw had software to create the zcs codes so it is more that likely that they also had software to create vin codes for the xpower tune software

There are a good number of T4 experts on the forum.. I would think that any one of those could answer your questions.

If you have a T4 post your ZCS codes and I'll calculate the new ones with the 131 map. Then once you have tricked the car into asking for the new codes, and you've entered the new codes it will ask to download the new tune.

If you have the ZCS codes for a 131 tune then you don't need the upgrade disc. Altering the codes will allow you to make the car a 131 foc.

See instructions from Russ on how to enter the new ZCS codes

hello
i can generate new zcs codes and checksum and i have manually entered new zcs codes as described by bigruss what i want to do is to see how the xpower works and see what the software can do but i need a 17 digit code and if i had a sample of what the code consists of i may be able to work out the code for my vin

David, I'm not sure what you're expecting but the X-part software just looks at the existing 116ps tune assembly number then automatically loads the 135ps tune assembly

There's no interface or options once you put in the unlock code it operates exactly the same way as using normal disc to write or rewrite the tune to the ECU
The only thing it does when it's loaded the upgraded tune is that it changes the ZCS codes so when in future T4 will recognise that it has been upgraded.

Russ
