Thanks Simon. I'll have a look for the splice when I'm next at the car (Wednesday evening).

Is there any reason you can think of that, now I've got a way to get 12V to the right hand side of the fuse panel, I'm still not getting signal to the pump? Perhaps some fault codes on the ECU preventing the signal being sent?

Cheers, Dan.

Is there someone out there who can give him a loan of a KV6 3 part kit ie an ECU the Box behind the light switch above the brake pedal and an transducer chip.
Hi Alan. Yes I think you're right on the fuel front. We've checked spark and tested compression which both seem fine. Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Dan.

Let's not get distracted by that Dan. What is important now is to get the car's existing wiring working properly. From your measurements, it appears that there's an open circuit at the splice, or nearby. I hope that you can dismount the fuse box and inspect the wiring and any connectors.

Remove the u/b fusebox and backprobe connector C0571 for 12v on the outside brown/black wire. If none pull plug and check to see the pin hasn't snapped off.

I had a non starting 190 a few years back

https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...t=29737&page=5

If its not the fuse as it was in mine, Id plump for the inertia switch (as already suggested) possibly a wet side impact sensor, or damaged wiring between the UB fuse box and the interior

Hi Simon,

Unfortunately day job pressures got a bit to much so wasn't able to get on with it. Going to have another go on Saturday.

Cheers,

Dan.

Dad’s car is a non starter today, turns over and almost catches.
ZTT190 2.5 v6 manual.
No codes on a generic scanner.
I can’t use toaf on my laptop as the motherboard has gone.
Fuel pump can be heard.

Dad can’t remember where the spare key is.

Mum found the spare key, no change, it is the same so I think it isn’t the immobiliser.
Fuel pump kicks in when you turn the key for a couple of seconds.

Hi Calum (Thunderbolt),

Please could you start a new thread if you would like help with your problem. We're at a critical stage in diagnosing Dan's fault and so we need to keep this thread focussed on that.

Thank you Calum.

Simon
