Done in the garden, for now! Back is killing me, had to bend down to pick weeds etc, can't kneel because of my shredded knee.

Carbon monoxide detector in the lounge started bleeping a few days ago, changed the batteries for good used ones but made no difference. Got fresh batteries today, still bleeping then spotted a sticker, manufacturing date and replacement date which was three years ago . . . . that'll be why then!

Given the grass it’s first cut for this year, didn’t cut it in the lowest setting on the mower, I always use the second lowest for the first cut of the year in case we get any late frosts, which are actually forecast for next week. Need to trim the plum tree desperately as it’s grown really out of control over the last couple of years along with the forsythia.

I like an omelette now and again I usually have mushroom omelette and Fiona likes a cheese and onion one . I hate cheese though so stick to the mushroom, occasionally I might mix a bit of mashed potato in if there is some left from a previous meal. Having our own hens means during the spring to autumn months we have plenty of eggs. There are only two of them and they are coming up for 3 years old in the summer but still laying almost every day.

Don't have grass here and certainly don't miss it! Cutting the grass at the old place was nothing but a chore not like the old boy opposite us, his grass was like one of the greens at a golf club. He even used to get a guy in several times a year to give it specialist (and presumably expensive!) treatments.

Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

And then I'll hold you in my dreams

I'm not lucky enough to keep my caravan at home but I am lucky in the fact that a friend lets me store it at their property for free and I did have the pleasure of strolling around their 7 acres of gardens lawns ponds and meadow in the sunshine today, wrapped in it's cover the caravan has stood up to the weather very well, plan to go over again on Thursday and top up the polish.

My folks had a caravan until my mother's arthritis torpedoed their retirement plans and they sold it. They told my wife we could have had it but I hadn't shown any interest . . . . they hadn't even said they were thinking about getting shot of it! I did a lot of work to it, sorting out niggles when they first got it.

Evening all, What a glorious sunny day it's been, It's the first time this year I've seen bees, butterflies flying about. The blackbirds have been singing all day

It reached 20C and the first time out in sunshine I've got red arms, neck & face I'm still on the decking job removing rotten boards & replacing them with new ones, Thank heavens for that circular saw I bought, It's paid for itself just using it today

I've had to dump some of my strawberry plants! I noticed a few had gone brown & died off, turns out the big pots they are in had lots of white vine weevil grubs I threw them on the lawn for the blackbirds and they made short work of them.

Too cream crackered to cook owt so Cornish pasties & salad for tea.

Saying its been the warmest March day for 53 years, not up here it wasn't, just warm enough to work in the garden without a jacket.
