Mornin', cloudy and decidedly cool, only 6°C, least there's no wind. Having a coffee while watching the woodpecker at the bird feeders

Morning all, Normal weather has resumed after the last two sunny days, It's overcast & less than half the temps.

Begger! some sub zero overnight temps coming up so I'll have to get them back in the greenhouse & cover the seedlings with bubble wrap again

If so, do tell - never been invited myself

I think Lederhosen keks are mandatory for the dancing ritual.

Years ago, early '80s if I'm correct, there was a huge snowfall in April, railway virtually ground to a halt, all freight services were suspended. Had to go to Eastfield depot in Glasgow to collect the two huge snowploughs (plough, 2 x class 37, plough) to patrol the east side of Scotland including a local passenger branch line where a cutting was filling with snow drifting off the fields. Running the ploughs was err . . . . interesting!

I remember in the late 1980s/early 1990s travelling to Weston Park Easter Transport extravaganza in my Triumph 2500TC on Easter Monday, and having to turn back 20 miles short of destination due to heavy snow! It was not even forecast, and the only time that car has seen snow - I still own it and it still attends shows occasionally - still under 33,000 miles from new, and owned since 1987.

We have a clock high up on the wall in the kitchen, finally got round to getting the steps out, climbing up and changing the time on it yesterday. Put the steps away again. The clock ran for 15 minutes then the battery died

I managed to set the two house clocks last night, One of them is really complicated to set & is now two minutes behind because I couldn't find how to set the time quick enough , I can live with that as I'm not touching it again until Autumn

You seriously DON'T want to be invited to those evenings of debauchery and other unmentionable activities. !! There are former club members who were invited and so shocked by what they saw are still receiving counseling for PTSD, years later.
