All 08s around here, used to have to ferry them to/from Haymarket depot, one side of Edinburgh to the other via the Suburban line around the outskirts of Edinburgh, that included going through Niddrie which at the time was real bandit country. Going so slowly the little horrors had plenty of time to aim their stones and other assorted missiles

Worst journey was before my time. When the Waverley line down through the borders was open every weekend the 08 came up from Galashiels to Edinburgh for servicing, that's about 30 miles Must have been punchy by the time they arrived!

Yes you're right 15 mph max, they're OK in the Tees valley goods yard shunting but boring on a run, I have the option of 08, 09 class 47 or a class 52 on this west Somerset railways, even more boring in those

Blimey! Steve! Sack the shopper we've not got any hot cross buns in the house I'll get some later today as there's a new B&M store opening near us today and it has a big gardening centre inside I need some more compost.

Ever tried Tofu? If not, don't.

Had some as an experiment and it was disgusting. Has the ability to make a decent meal horrible.

Morning all.

Definitely cool here although it's bright and dry and the sun might make an appearance a bit later on.

Need to fill up the bird feeders with their lard/nut/oats mix. The little lovelies have well and truly found them and are making the most of it .

SWMBO doesn't like hot cross buns. I made a "mistake" yesterday and bought a dozen - look like I'll have to eat them all as they'll go stale otherwise . With real butter, obviously.

Take care.

Least you'd be bored in "relative" comfort in the 47 or 52. The "seats" in an 08/09 were like a thinly padded bar stool, numb backside very quickly. Tended to stand most of the time.

Tofu is ok but its best if you cut it into cubes and fry it first, crisp up the edges then include it in something that will give it some taste.

Have to clean the anti rodent/squirrel dome on the pole. Pigeons are getting enough grip to stand on it and just reach the bottom of one of the feeders.

If I'd known I'd have made you a coffee Andy, I was up at 5 preparing my other half's food etc as she's dayshift. I go back to bed but never get back into a meaningful sleep, just lie and doze.
