Just the normal monsoon will suffice

The met office has issued an amber warning now they know you are coming

Need to fill up the bird feeders with their lard/nut/oats mix. The little lovelies have well and truly found them and are making the most of it .

Take care.
Pesky squirells knock ours all over the grass, mind you our resident Pheasant clears it up for us.

We also have 2 pairs of Blue Boobs nesting in the boxes this year, its nice sitting in the conservatory watch them taking their nesting bits in the boxes.

Morning all - from a flamin' freezin' North Yorkshire.
It's cold and grey - and the temperature is about 10° down on what it was Tuesday and Wednesday.
Just booked a slot at the local Council rubbish tip - they aren't allowing you just to turn up and dump your household waste due to Covid.
You have to book in advance, have only one person in the car, and produce TWO forms of identity at the gate to prove you are a council tax payer in our Council's area.
They can be really security conscious with rubbish - but the same Council recently lost their entire website and everything it contained to online hijackers - reputedly down to poor digital security.

Brilliant sunshine here, pity there's no heat in it, bleedin' cold. Had a pair of Blue T1ts checking out one of the nest boxes here as well, boxes are getting a bit 2nd hand now. Can't make new ones, don't have any thinner wood, can't make nest boxes out of 1½" thick planks, would need coach bolts to fix them in place!

Nah, sorry but nah. Hot cross buns are supposed to be sweet, toasted with butter, jam not cheese and certainly not marmite. If you want cheese and, gawd help us, marmite buy bread rolls.

So bl00dy cold I'm seriously considering putting the heating on for a while . . . . sorry Rod.

No need to apologise mate - SWMBO has already put our heating on - it's 5° in the back garden!

Got the woodpecker on the feeders again. Keep trying to capture a photo of it but its very camera shy, soon as it sees any movement at the window its off.

Cooler here today but still sunshine and blue skies at the moment.

All dressed up with nowhere to go...

Afternoon all, The sun has finally made an appearance here just in time for me to mow the lawns

I've been messing with the MG ZS EV as I've never heard that 'pedestrian alert' noise under 12mph
I was beginning to think it was one of those noises only young ears could hear but I've been into the menu & I don't know what I've done but I can hear it plain as day now, Sounds like a Star Trek vacuum cleaner on the blink
I was going to video it with the missus driving past me but she's under the weather today & staying in bed.

Been trying out that Motorola mobile phone camera/vid doodah & short a few seconds of the EV charger charging the car, I've been trying all the adjustable settings & left it on 16A 5.3kw power. Charged the car up from 50% to 75% in a couple of hours. Cost all of 17/-6d
