Default Mg zt insurance

I find it strange that insurance is still expensive for me, at 51, with a clean driving record, and never any claims, city insurance wanted £530 ! When asked why, "Because they are hard to get parts"

Try direct line £210 for me with 8yrs no claims living in gloucestershire, made a slight difference when I retired, £20 saving not using it for the commute

A lot has to do with crime figures in your area.

I'm 45 with full no claims and I'm paying £580 fully comp where I am, that's on my ZT 2.0 cdti. - that's with Direct Line.
my lads mate who is 24, on a Ford Focus ST, who's in a different part of Derbyshire, is being insured fully comp with a couple of years no claims for just over £400.

It's a post code lottery.
It's to do with how many scrotes are in your area.

Just under £200 for me with Endsleigh and that includes work use but that's for a 75.

If it's not your daily driver and parked off road or in garage at night you can get classic car insurance for a ZT (but not a 75 I believe unless over 20 years old). Try Peter Best Insurance. My late model 190 was just £132 last Feb. Sort of makes up for the £550 pa road tax.

Renewed my 75 with RIAS, full comp 10+ years ncb, and it came in at £329!
There was a couple about £20 cheaper but too much hassle to move

Always funny to here them say ' because it's difficult to get parts for them '. Anything much more than a dent in one removable panel and they write off most examples due to cost anyway, so whether the parts are difficult to get hold of or not seems irrelevant.

Insurance is a postcode lottery, A few years back I was living an area and the postcode ended in 6AZ I moved 1 street and less than 250 yards and the postcode ended in 6BZ and car then went into a garage and my insurance went up by £250, Obviously I cancelled that policy and the call centre could not care less or offer any discount for what had been a long term customer.

Just shop around, but I found it better to stay away from comparison sites or be inundated with phone calls and emails for a few weeks when looking and on the anniversary date.

Now very happy with Hastings direct but come renewal time will look around.
