Trouble starting diesel
Hi all just bought another 75 04 cdti club good all round car bits need sorting but good clean car in all but its got a problem starting hot or cold cranks over fine but won't fire up for at least 5+ seconds but when it starts runs and ticks over fine but did notice ìf I brake a bit hard the engin shudders a bit as if its going to cut out .( It's an automatic ) but it doesn't put your foot down and it pull away as it should
Any suggestions on the cure to sort this one out would be much appreciated Cheers gary Last edited by Garry k; 26th September 2020 at 21:45.. |

Sounds like a good plan.
Garry just to satisfy my curious mind your new car doesn't start in gear does it? |

Give BigRuss a call, if I had to take a stab in the dark judging by the cranking period I would suggest possibly a injector issue, and as Mike has said I wonder if it starts in gear maybe it’s had a manual ECU if it has
