many a happy hour spent searching the yards, coming out with pockets full of bulbs and fuses, never to be used

Ah those were the days when it was a great adventure to spend a day in a scrap yard and we had quite a few in this area but alas they are no more

Looks as though it had been looked after prior! Looking at the wheels & tyres that is & the paintwork looks clean.

Many years ago there used to a great Scrapyard in Warsash in near Southampton called 'Duffy's'

It was of the old style - on soft ground, partly overgrown but with all the Fords in place, all the vauxhalls in another etc.

There was also a Scrappy on the ege of the New Forest near Sherfield English - very much like the one in the link - They had some really old stuff there totally overgrown and with the newer cars dumped in front, on top of, and all around them - happy days!
