I also had an afternoon with the Captain, removed the rear window trim, cleaned out 22 yrs of muck, got it all nice and clean then gave the lower window clips four coats of Mr Tolleys! Trim refitted with some new clips (Note the new clips from Rimmers are not as good as the originals) Lets see what the next rainstorm brings?

Sold the seats, and stripped a few parts from it......... It was raised in Scotland, so it was only going to be a matter of time before it started going ginger

Fixed the sunvisors. Fiddly! I bought a replacement drivers side, but it was grubby, so I swapped in the vanity lights Hmmmm.
Passenger side clip needed a plastic Weld and some glue. Happy days! Whipped the ECU out to send to the excellent Russ.

I took apart the number plate light holder to fix the non working lamp. All better now.
Of course, I lost a screwit inside the boot lid. How do I resolve? Any way to get it back? Where can I buy more? Or something better?! |

Buy a 7 quid telescopic magnet to retrieve it. Also very useful if you drop things in the engine bay

I bunged the remapped ECU back on and had a tidy. My sea of plastic is now tidier!
As you'll already know Russ's map gives the car a whole new feel. Mines a manual 75 diesel and its still no flying machine, but it sounds happier, even at idle, runs better and (I think) more responsively - but above all it's much smoother. I didn't think that would be a side effect- I'm very pleasantly surprised. Here! Cleaner plastic!
