Default Rover V8 on Ebay

I noticed there is not a single Rover V8 for sale on autotrader now.

Just this one on Ebay

What's he on about, Bentley grill!

I like that. But then I am a sucker for Black cars anyway, and a Black car with a V8 is right up my street. No doubt somebody told him the grille looks like a Bentley and it stuck.
£8000 bid, I wonder what it will go for?

All that time and effort put in and the dash on this work of art has not been fitted properly!

Nice car that Keith, even has the 18in optional Vortex alloys. It's the only one I've seen with them on, apart from the car in Chris's avatar that is
So looks like only one in the UK and only one in Germany for sale. Not many left so the final price will be interesting. Just put it into my "watch this item".

I'd love to have one of these - if only they had the MK1 75 front on and the darker original wood and airbag cover style. Puts me off a little.

Edit - I suppose I could buy it and swap the bumpers off my 99 75 and swap the wood over. Seems a bit extreme though....

I've never actually bought an extended warranty. £2,500 for 2 years??? Is that normal?

If so, surely you would be better off sticking the money in an ISA, and then just taking out of it to pay for any repairs? How bad would a car have to be for it to develop faults to the tune of £2,500 within 2 years that were not attributable to wear and tear, yet hadn't shown up during the initial free warranty period? I am starting to think I am in the wrong job!

Getting back to the car itself, the interior just doesn't look right to me. Cream door panels and fascia but darker top to the dash, black plastics, wood inlays, dark leather upholstery, yet another different shade for the carpets.... All just looks to fussy & bitty to me I'm afraid.

Extend the wood to cover the satnav and a/c panels, coordinate the dash top with the rest of the fascia and maybe polished aluminimum surrounds for the heater vents and clock, cream or light brown upholstery... then it would, imho, look really nice!

No! it's actually referred to as "Light Oak" in the catalogue and in the car looks more modern than the original dowdy Burr walnut colour, especially with the lighter leathers like sandstone beige
