Will work as normal, including the self levelling with the added bonus that you'll be able to adjust the height with the wheel on the switch pack

2) Replacing Xenon's with standard projectors
Will work as normal except you won't have any way to manually adjust the levelling.
Doesn't matter what lights you fit, if the lsm has a thumbwheel, it will adjust the aim of the beam

all of the lights have levelling motors in them, it is the car itself which needs the extra components for self levelling to work... not sure if it needs a bit of T4 magic as well...

one question from me... if I put an LSM front plate with the thumb wheel on, will it override or offset the auto level, or will it be ignored??

Now that's a very good question - not sure why anyone would want to try it but it's a great question.

I have self levelling but I prefer manual control for the quiet country lanes.... bit of extra height makes a large difference...

No - the manual levelling via the thumbwheel adjustment will work but the "self" (automatic) levelling won't - because the suspension sensors aren't fitted to non-xenon cars.

Agreed - although subject to the answer to Klarzy's question - changing the LSM to a "halogen" one might enable the levelling via the tumbwheel.

no, I don't want to start disconnecting bits... just want an offset that I can wind down in heavy traffic from inside the car

Am I misunderstanding something? In my book -

Self levelling = automatic setting of the headlamp beam level based on input form suspension sensors - only fitted to factory Xenon cars.

Manual levelling - thumbwheel in the car controlling beam height.

The motors in the headlamp units are presumably the same (I haven't checked) in each case.

So do you have self levelling or manual or both? (or I am missing something - I usually am)
