Default V8 ZT has arrived

Well I've just got back from picking up a V8 ZT that my son has just bought. He must be one of the youngest 260 owners now.

I need a good supply of Hedex though.....the drone from the seemingly foot-diameter exhaust is ridiculous!

It's a head turner for the wrong reasons at the minute - so hopefully a new exhaust will tone it down a bit.

Haha - he wouldn't be able to hear me now anyway, 10minutes in that thing and your ears no longer work

Very unusual for a ZT to drone now if it was a ZT-T I’d understand. What back boxes are fitted to it?

I know the previous owner of mine bought it with an aftermarket exhaust (dunno what) which droned so badly his wee boy wouldn't go in it. He reverted to a standard system.

I have no idea what exhaust is fitted, not had any time to really look at it yet. I think they stuck 4 drain pipes on it. I'm surprised you haven't heard my son driving it about - unless you are more than 300miles away

It is V8 number 264 - previously owned (and blown up) by Kmaps.

While idling it sounds quite nice

One of the first jobs on the list will hopefully be a new exhaust! Even if I have to pay for it!

I am trying to convince my son to go quiet, the drone is unbelievable. I thought the V6 was bad but getting in that afterwards was a relief! Yet another exhaust I need to make quieter when I buy it back
