Default Dead Frogs.

So far I have found 8 dead frogs in the garden 5 near the pond , I have now found out there is is an epidemic killing off these creatures, last night we discovered two live ones in the pond and this morning we now have a blob of spawn,
has anyone else come across this situation.

Not personally but sometimes these situations require reporting so experts can monitor the situation. Do you know if this is the situation in this case?

Do you use slug pellets on your garden?

I have heard they can kill frogs, either directly or when they eat the affected slugs.

Maybe a neighbour has used them.

Reading up on the subject, there have been reports in some cases of hundreds dying from some unknown reason.

No! We don't use slug pellets and not needed any way this time of year.

I read a while back that a fungus is killing frogs all over the world.

It's not looking good for frogs or bees, when I was young the ponds round here were full of frogs/toads/newts. It used to be a thing to go & see the spawn as the ponds were full of it. Sadly all the fields/ponds have gone, all built over & tarmac'd.
