You might be able to hacksaw the ends of the old pin off and the hoop to remove them from the compensator assembly - or drill them out... the hole at the back where the hoop fits through needs to be bigger too, for the new shackle to fit through.

Or so it appears... Not done it yet! Scheduled for Wednesday

Oh no grief in metric land The clevis pin is a 10mm x 30mm? Well if it wasnt miserable and raining ide be upset about that right now as orderd a set that stops at 8mm or erm 5/16. As it is just drinking coffee wondering if i can face getting wet today trying to remove the compensator, dont think i will try in this weather Damn weather Might go look at SS coach bolts instead

Quick question, the SS D shackle will be fittable with the current pin in place or not if the stretched rod is cut out only? I assume the original pin was removed to aid fitting the new Shackle or was is it a strength upgrade?
