The tourer comes in handy as my longer drives tend to be going touring the northh coast of Scotland so it's 4-500 miles to get there, then the same back but I'll also have a car FULL of stuff so the lack of boot strut in the tourer comes in handy. Auto is just because I've never owned one before and I fancy it. Shaun Sent from my M2007J3SG using Tapatalk |

Having had loads of both I’d suggest saloon auto diesel models are my favourite they just seem more refined

As you know i bet from being caught in one traffic jams on the motor way an auto is much more relaxing than having to keep changing gear and dipper a clutch every few yards i think once Shaun tries an Auto eh will not turn back

I get caught in traffic jams so infrequently solo or towing I still dont have a mind to change. Even in a traffic jam you should be in and out of drive and not foot on the brakes, in fact at work I find it worse taking an auto in and out of drive then I do a manual and it is so much easier in an auto I actually enjoy changing gear macafee2 |

I'd never driven an auto until I went for a test drive in a Bongo. We bought the Bongo and every car since that purchase has been an auto. We now have a 75 2.5 Connie saloon, 75 2.0 CDT tourer and ZS 1.8 Stepspeed. I don't think we'll go back to manual.
