Cool Mount Edgecumbe

Some photo's from one of my walks. Whilst car parking is free, comes to an end on 17th May, I have been venturing further out for my walks with the aid of the Bear.

1-Overlooking Plymouth Sound from the grounds at Mount Edgecumbe.
2-Overlooking Millbrook. In the far distance you can see the bridge over the Tamar.
3-Looking towards Plymouth Hoe from Cremyll.
4-The Cremyll foot ferry. Goes over to Plymouth.
5-The old and the new in Plymouth Sound.

Cool Mount Edgecumbe part two

On the day I took these photo's I managed to cover 4.7 miles around the grounds of the house. It is open to the public and every August, well it has in the past, hosted one of the biggest car shows in the Southwest.

1-Looking up towards Mount Edgecumbe House.
2-Peony Debbie Carnation.
3-Looking up the tree lined Avenue towards the house.
4-From the house looking down the Avenue and out over Plymouth Sound.
5-Lady Emma's house, which is in the grounds of Mount Edgecumbe. Has sea views, and can be rented out. Sleeps 8

Very nice photos - you’ve just made me quite homesick, just the camellias alone in Mount Edgecumbe are worth a visit. There’s also a nice camellia beside the bridge in Looe. No daffodils? Perhaps a bit too late in the year, last time I was over in the spring there were fields of them there.

Thanks

There are still fields of Daffodils waiting to be picked. But with the lockdown there was no one to cut them down and pack them for export or for the home market. Hopefully I’ll get a few photo’s of them next time I go to Mount Edgecumbe.
