Airbag light not working
My new car has had an advisory for the last 3 MOTs for the SRS light not working at all. I've just noticed this on the MOT history.
1st April SRS Light ON for a fault 5th April SRS no longer lights up on start I've done a self test on the IPK and no SRS light. I've plugged in TOAF and it reads the SRS module, tells me what air bags are in place and shows no errors. So my question is, what ways are there to disable the SRS light.... I'm assuming its a take the IPK out and check the circuit, LED bulb, etc |

Sounds like the led had been either broken off of something put in the hold to disguise it.
Whip off the ipk and see if the security seal is broken, if so there’s your answer.

Hi Martin.
It must of taken the person who did that longer than it would have done to rectify it properly

Typical for our cars ... drove to the gym this morning with the light on, went to the dog groomers later this morning with the light off Need to plug it in, but I'm assuming it's the seat connectors now. |

Drivers Side air bag Passenger Pre Tensioner A quick fiddle with the seat connectors and these 2 were fixed, but I was left with a rather strange 'RFIS Status lamp' error Searching the error code number or searching for 'RFIS Status lamp' error on google brought up no information. So I tried the search on here which brought up one solitary post about RFIS or as Phil-T4 explained in the post 'Rear Facing Infant Seat' .... well I've not got one of those, but with a bit of fiddling in TOAF I've managed to stop the error. |
