To be fair to the OP and his mechanic Brian, we had enough of the "upgrade" nonsence in relation to these masters/slaves on the forum including from some well known traders. What chance does a non-specialist garage have in these circumstances?
My CDT is going to trikey at the end of the month with an Luk Repset Pro kit. Personally I would never have anything else fitted. |

Again thank you for the replies and responses. So, it would seem that although bought in good faith from whom I assumed to be a responsible trader the quality of the parts are not as expected. Unfortunately I am not in a position to spend a further £750 on LUK parts & labour so I guess I will have to put up with what I have, although I will speak to the trader and advise of the issue to see what they say.
On the plus side, I am definitely strengthening my leg muscles, which as a keen cyclist, has to be a plus! |

LuK or Borg & Beck are the lightest of the clutches in my opinion - I've fitted a few others (National and Comline) and while perfectly OK, the former were both much lighter.
We stick to Borg & Beck for this reason, as a heavy clutch rather tarnishes the effortless wafting of a 75 / ZT
