Really interesting reading.
It’s why I’m putting money into the 2 litre V6. List of jobs is too long to type now but all the rear suspension has been changed recently as well as the front lower arm bushes. This week I’ll be flushing out the sills and cleaning the underside ready for rust treatment a week later when it’s all dried out. Hot weather is the key. Then it’s a good coating of Dinitrol for the 75 and the Streetwise. Oily bits get their regular service every year. Neighbours often approach me to see what job I’m doing next. They must think I’m brilliant or stupid but I’m not going to ask which.

Yes we've lived in this mighty fine place for 50 years. Travelled the world but always love returning home. On our doorstep is : Snowdonia and it's lakes Conwy Castle & Quayside Victorian Llandudno Pier and beaches. Deganwy beach & Marina. Llyn Peninsula All the winding traffic free roads Top Gear use! Even better still No queues for restaurants, cinemas. Kids usually get 1st choice of schools etc No congestion - free parking No pollution ...... Oops better shut up and keep this hidden gem of North Wales a secret !

Final update
It is now nearly 7 years and 72k miles since we purchased this 75 CDT. The total mileage is coming up to 152k and this year I had a number of further items replaced. The list below has been updated accordingly.
Here are all the things done to date (starting point 82k miles):

Request to mods
As this is a record of work on my car, may I ask that posts #68 onwards, including this post, be removed and the thread closed for further posting?
Thank you. |
