If your Map values are all over the place then what Brian suggested at the beginning of this thread might be your problem. I don't know what to look for though, maybe a broken wire in the loom from the Map to the plug on the bottom of the inlet manifold.
You should see around 100 kpa with the engine off. With engine running and up to temp it should be around 30 to 40 kpa. |

They're pretty stable values, just wrong.
It's not the wiring into the MAP connector either as I've already changed that (looked a little suspect). Also done continuity/resistance checks on the loom back to the ECU plug and that looks OK. Shows 98.8-100.6kPa engine off, which is fine (I think). Last edited by mbonwick; 11th November 2019 at 16:19.. |

Minus 1 here today. Started the car to put it away for the winter, horrendous after 30 odd seconds, very difficult to stop it stalling as I was taking it out of the drive to turn it around to put it in the garage face first, then it stalled in the middle of the road, took a good 15 seconds for it to start. Flooded I think.
