Default Oil leak

Just given the car a service and when I was underneath I noticed the back of the block was oily from top to bottom , on the passenger side , also the under tray was soaked with oil on the passenger side , when changing the pcv I noticed some oil sitting on the shelf bit near the pcv around the injectors , most shocking though was the amount of oil that came out..............3.5 litres

Any ideas where this leak is as I can't see anything.
Stan

I have no idea about cars, but my alternator on my Blackbird is cracked around a mounting bolt and that's weeping oil. Hows yours?
Good luck with the car, i know nowt about the engine-y bits.

I think it might be more serious than that , it seems to be passenger side at the back of the block at the top , I would like to strip thevair box out and see but due to shoulder I can't , doing the service today has left me in agony

Are you sure it is engine oil and not diesel? The HP pipe connections from the common rail to the injectors can weep if not fully tightened.

Not easy to find the source, so clean everything up, wrap tissues round each one and with the engine idling for a few minutes you will get a bit of damp on the tissue covering the culprit.

If it is engine oil then try running with the acoustic panel removed - a common leak point is a damaged threaded hole that secure the panel. If the bolt is too long it punches through the bottom of the hole.

Checked the bolt holes and they are clear , I mopped the stuff up sitting around the pcv bit and it was black , also the fact of only got 3.5 litres out makes me think it was oil, are rocker cover gaskets known to leak or anything else in this area?
Thanks for the answers so far

It isn't a common leak point. Maybe someone has cracked the cam cover somewhere when removing an injector, or if the PCV filter has been replaced something isn't quite right with the seals?

Check the O ring on the cam sensor is fitted and not damaged, and after that probably worth removing the inlet manifold and checking the seals are good and then everything underneath.
