Simply because I have smartnav in one of my 75's and the voice guidance prevents you from being distracted from the road.
I honestly rate it

If your fitting as an aftermarket kit you just need the control box with loom, switch, microphone and GPS / GSM antenna and speaker.

is that the system where you push a button and it connects you to a control centre, if so I have it on my 75 and it scared the c**p out of me the first week I owned the car, driving home from work in the early hours I must have pushed something onto the button, next thing a voice comes from nowhere asking "are you there", thought it was Doris Stopes come back.

Yeah that's the system, my friend called it the Samaritans button, when he first pushed it by accident whilst trying to open the cigar lighter flap, someone said "no guidance is available" he was proper spooked.

I can't stand being talked at by a satnav as I generally only need it at the last part of a journey anyway. I disable the voice guidance.
