I've had loads of junk emails recently from whatsapp answersphone message,Facebook, gmail yahoo mail but when you check the address it's not from any of them oh & I don't have any accounts with the above apart from whatsapp but that's through your phone not email.
I also receive mail from friends comes in as of its from them with there name again when you check it's not there details.
I also recieved one a few days ago from myself.
Just scammers & you need to try & keep on top of them I've a hotmail & it's just recently I've been getting more & more.
The worst is my sky email I've never used it for anything only have it as we have sky tv & its constant on their so can only be sky that's passed my details on.

Just a sign of the times.

I had a load of strange spam mails just before Christmas. All sorts of stuff from all sorts of places. This progressed to pop ups coming up when on most of the forums.
I use firefox so I did a refresh of that first. Then made sure I had all my passwords to all the sites I usually visit, then cleared all the cookies. This improved things a lot but I still had a few coming in.
I then performed a restore to a date before the problem started, cleared the cookies and its been all good so far. Also worth looking in your document list and the download list to see if there's anything there that you don't recognise. I had a couple, so I dumped them.
Put it down to something that came in when visiting a forum. It must have installed itself. Some of these spams are quite clever now and its worth getting someone who knows what they are doing to do a clean up at least once a year. Steve

I suddenly had lots of junk coming in and managed to spot the word "amazon" on some of them. I went into my amazon account and found that the "do not send me emails" was unticked (This never happened before). After ticking the box, the junk has stopped.
