Default Reversing camera

Probably a daft question but hey ho!

I still have a reversing camera fitted but only have a single din JVC head unit fitted (works perfectly - every time )

Is there any kind of screen/unit/receiver I can fit that will allow me to use the camera apart from another double din which I don't want?

I suspect not but if there is..........

There are plenty of small monitors available but the major issue is where to fit it. When I took the double din from my tourer I used a rear view mirror with built in display, however when I bought the focus it had a auto dim so that was out of the question. Not wanting to fork out for a Ford camera and all the hassle of taking out the head unit I fitted a standard camera over the number plate with a monitor in the rear load area. I can see the monitor easily if I turn in the drivers seat or if I wish I can see it in the rear view mirror. Does the job just fine. Although I have and had reversing sensors I always valued the camera above all else. If you have a saloon it could be fitted on the rear parcel shelf ?

Hi Simondi,

Have you thought about a camera like the one below. the best of 3 things then. A dvr that records both front and back and will also act as a reversing camera when you but your car in reverse.

Not a bad for £24.95. Nothing to do with me . Just a friend as one in his car and works really well.

You can buy small AV monitors that would do the job Simon, you can also buy replacement rearview interior mirrors that incorporate a LCD screen within the mirror.
