Well, I've just ordered one of your units but I must admit I'm a little puzzled : I thought you had 'old' units (no iPod charging, ugly sd card interface) and 'new' ones (iPod, New interface) but since you told me the 'new' one shouldn't be on your site I've ordered what I thought to be an 'old' one but on your website, it says it's a new model with ipod....

Well, I'll see when I have it in my hands

Can't wait !

BTW I'd like to have my startup screen to be Tony Fry's MG one, will I have to set it myself ?

Hi,

There has been quite a few revisions to the original dd unit, rds, iPod charging, tmc etc but it is the same basic unit just different specs.
They all use micro sd cards, one for maps and one for your own music etc.
The other unit if you look closely in the pictures is a completely different make/model.
Hope that helps and yes mine shows the Mg logo when loading a DVD

YES! That's the one. The thread seems to have resurected itself

The startup screen is just a matter of putting an 800 x 400 pixel image of your choice, onto a USB stick, then pressing a couple of buttons on the remote control for the DD - I think the image could also be put on a DVD/CD. It then loads into the DD, so that the USB is no longer needed for the image to appear on startup.

The DD unit I bought from Sean in august september had RDS, TMC and could charge the latest IPOD. It has rather poor looking built in graphics design, but works rather well. 9 months later I'm still finding out new things about it - still trying to get my head around all that it can do. You will not be disappointed I'm sure.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I ordered one too...
Just can't wait to get it, oh and I ordered those LED back lights aswell

Here's a picture: Oh and I come from Slovenia - I wanna say thanks Radioguy AKA Sean for making this possible( I bought my Rover 75 two weeks ago so far I'm just so freakin happy with the car - but had one problem though...it was a smokers car so to get rid of the smell I tried everything - in the end when notihing else worked - I striped the car naked(from inside) and bought some new/well used aswell, seats, headliner, doorfittings and the ''back liner'' if it's name is like that...And the finished product is......a better smelling interior...)

Here are some pics:

I also had it polished and I waxed it myself...so now...like I said...just waiting for the package to arrive...

Ooooh Sean/Radioguy....Just how come did you manage to be away exactly that week when I ordered it Now I have to wait for it an extra week

Oh well I guess that saying is wright; longer you wait the sweeter it tastes

Oh and this is also mine very first debut post on this forum...Very nice forum indeed
