Default Vanish Bar on Leather upholstery

Bought one of the Co. cars home this evening.
Thought the interior looked dirty, so attacked with 'Vanish' bar - I actually felt sick when I saw how filthy!!

Question Vanish Bar........

Hi

Did you just rub the wet soap bar directly to seat or did you apply with a damp cloth?

Result is pretty amazing..........

Do you think liquid vanish would give similar results

I presume the leather isn't damaged in any way as a result of using Vanish?

Well done !!!

Soft brush (shoe brush), rub into bar, to load brush, work into leather until clean, wipe off with damp cloth.
I rubbed in leather conditioner afterwards.

Trikey told me, he said he got it from Blacknwhite originally.

Certainly works a treat Guy, Bob's seats were ingrained,we tried everything to bring them up,and after he told me what he'd used, next time i saw the car,was amazed at the result.

Bob has another tip,he bought some furniture dye from a place nearby, and is using that to restore faded parts of the leather, he just took the car over and they matched up a sample for him to try.

Question

Spotted this a few days ago and wonder if it would work like the Vanish Bars?

Price was about a £1 or so.

Was saddle soap one of the things tried before the Vanish?

If it is the same as old fashioned 'White Windsor Soap'; it should be OK.

I used Vanish on my Sandstone leather seats a few moths ago when, i believe, the tip first appeared on the forum.
The results were fantastic.
However, i am finding that the dye on the drivers seat is now wearing very thin and i am wondering if it is because the vanish has removed the sealing coat from the leather.
Just a thought.
