Steering wheel Cruise buttons
Hi. As anyone got a spare set of cruise control buttons for the 75 steering wheel. I only want them to fill the cut out of a wooden steering wheel I've purchased, so not bothered about if they work or the wiring. Thanks, Andy

if you have the old steering wheel and it is the same colour you can with difficulty remove the plastic shrouds and swop them over.

That may well be your perfect answer Andy,
Fit the whole set onto the walnut wheel, and then you have two totally interchangeable wheels. However, best to check that the C/C wires can be pulled out of the plug, or otherwise isolated (cut) just in case it interferes with the car's main electronics. Probably being overcautious, I know. Regards Mike

suzublu,
That's the confirmation that's needed, you're listed as a 1.8 and that's what Andy told me his car is. I sold him the walnut wheel, and suggested that "dummy" C/C switches would be one way of filling the gap for them. It didn't occur to me that they might include the wiring harness. Regards Mike

I was looking at this option but decided against it, even with the greatest of care it must be difficult not to mauler some of the fixings when trying to get it off.
