Default Top of gear lever come off

The little bit at the top of the gear level on my 2002 Rover 75 CDT Club Tourer has come off - little plastic tabs sheared:

Given that it's apparently all made of that kind of plastic (polythene?) which most glues don't seem to work on, has anyone who this has happened to got any suggestions for fixing this?

No, not tried it. Haven't tried anything yet, because I didn't want to create a mess which would get in the way of a proper fix if it didn't work. You say Araldite but I'm assuming any 2 part epoxy should do the job? I'll give it a go.

Looks like the generic epoxy resin I had in the shed has done the job. There's presumably not a lot of force applied in the area, so I imagine it should hold.

oh well thats good news. i was going to suggest just a few small blobs in a circle in the centre should hold well enough.
