New addition wanted
Having bought my 75 I have decided to get myself a little runabout. Looking at availability and the amounts they are asking for things like metro or something with BRM stuck on it I think I would be better just getting another 75. So may look for a Tourer. Actually there is a 200 but its in Southampton. Almost another country from Sheffield lol. Oh, Susie (wife) does not know. Thinking of telling her I won it in a raffle.

For a small runaround I can recommend the Corsa. We have a 1.2 86bhp Sxi model and its a really nice, economical car. Also easy to park in smaller spaces.
When I come to replace the Omega estate I will most likely go for an Astra Tourer.

45s seem to be about the cheapest car on offer, and several with low mileages. I have had 3, and I rate them. (still got one with only 30,000 on the clock, bought for a grand just pre pandemic!)

I rate Astras highly as well. Owned a 2 litre turbo cabriolet since 2005. Normal servicing and has been totally reliable (done it now). It's also quick when you want it to be. Not recommended for long commutes though. Very comfortable, but I never seem to see better than 28mpg regardless of how I drive. We also have a 2002 2.2 standard Astra cabriolet auto. Also reliable and comfortable, but again no where near as good as a Corsa on fuel.

We also have a 1.8 VVT Astra Cabriolet. We get an average MPG of about 35 MPG which is not bad. The Corsa averages at 45-47MPG.

I think the 200 or 25 is a great little car. Had one or another for over 20 years. If you can get a good low mileage one (and aren't hampered by LEZ(s) locally) a good choice I think!

Citroen C1/ or Peugeot derivatives of the Aygo. Bulletproof, flameproof and will drive through walls and survive! Massive mpg and cheap tax. Brought a C1 to teach my daughter to drive in, she drove it through the garden wall from parked outside the house (impressive) and now done 2 years at Uni, still running strong on 140k miles. Respect!
