Morning all.

A bit like Groundhog day here - clear blue sky and the mercury rising.

Missed the opportunity for an early morning walk so Quizzie will be missing her swim today as now too hot to venture down to the river now.

Take it steady everyone.

I hope it won’t be too long before her swim, I’m desperate until my first swim. I have had for my new half skill onTuesday and it should be fitted this year according to the doc. Then I will be getting another doc to check why the right arm is going to be if they can fix it, fingers crossed that everything goes right for me.

Thank you Richard, all the best with your forthcoming medical assessment for the arm. That is great news about the new skull prosthesis. You have been exceptionally patient and brave waiting for it and doing your rehabilitation. Do keep us posted.

After my last post to you yesterday about Warleigh Weir, we decided not to stay too long. Early afternoon when it was very hot, there was a sudden influx of the many. I reckon there was about 500 people gathered in the meadow by the weir. Too many for us, so we legged it.

All the very best in getting your license, hopefully it works out

Hi Ian

I would like to share some encouraging news with you about my brother’s prostate cancer. He saw his oncologist yesterday who told him the new hormone medication and steroids he started on last month, has brought his PSA back down. He has been having treatment for prostate cancer since 2013. The latest treatment looks promising and this has given him a boost.

Afternoon Phil, That's really good news about your brothers treatment working well & encouraging to hear.
When I picked up my new medication from Bolton hospital pharmacy yesterday there were two types of meds, one was tablets & the other box which I haven't opened is for implant !!!! I've got to take it with me to my oncology appointment next week at Bolton.

Hi all, very hot round near me today! Been out and about but not in the 75 sadly, in my dad's old W210 E430 instead which is maybe the only car I've been in with air con anywhere near as good as my 75. Hope everyone's keeping well in this heat!

Oh man, just watched the funniest video I've seen for a long time. Its on the BBC news website, a young bear in a Turkish national park gorged itself on honey but its honey made from a type of rhododendron and is hallucinogenic. Wee thing is stoned out of its mind. It was taken to a local vet and will be released when it comes down again.
