Default What I did today

Been cleaning the engine bay over weekend. Took the bonnet cover off and deep cleaned, still waiting for it to dry. Also removed the engine cover. It was held up mostly with tie raps and rusty screws. All screws replace with nice shiny ones after de-greasing and wash and refitted.

Today: had a little trundle around South Wales, walked along the coast path and took it to the shops to buy some local beers.

Yesterday (but lacked the time to post) :
Changed the oil filter + the engine & gearbox oil.
Swapped the old battery with a virtually new one from my van (doesn't it crank swiftly ).
Loaded up the boot, picked up my Dad's caravan, and then went on holiday to Wales. First time I've towed a caravan with the 75 and all went well, 168 miles non-stop in 3¼ hours.

Only downside was the gearbox oil level bolt wouldn't undo and just went round & round. Anyway 2¾ litres came out so that's what went back in.

Today (well, the last few days) I've been refurbishing the rear suspension with brand new upper arms from DMGRS. Also made a little friend which was nice 🦔.

Got round to putting my spare clean diesel inlet manifold and egr on my tourer, change the pcv at the same time. So in the next couple of week will clean the inlet and egr I took off ready to change over in the spring.

Default Chrome mirror caps fitted

I got a set of mirrors with chrome caps, and as I didn't fancy all that "door card off" malarky, simply swapped the new caps for my "slightly" damaged Moonstone originals - give the car a bit of a lift I think, and I've got spare mirror mechs and glasses if I need them.

I also ordered some "iron-on" motifs for my tee-shirts from my grandaughter - she's a clever girl!

Don't need to remove the door card, just the plastic triangle behind the tweeter, 3 nuts and jobs jobbed 👍

I didn't think that was possible, anyway my mirror housings and glass are OK and the adjusters and heaters work OK, so two more reasons for just swapping caps.
