Default Advice asked which TOAF cable and OBD port R75

Hello everyone,

although I did a search, I got a bit confused and am a bit insecure what I need to buy to be able to read the OBD ports on my 2,5 V6 R75's.

I would like to have TOAF on my laptop and to be able to read out OBD ports on the cars. What exactly do I need to buy for this?

Advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Emiel

I recently downloaded toaf to resolve an airbag fault.

This is the cable I ordered for the link from my win11 laptop to the car.

With this cable I had to solder pins 7 and 8 togerher in the plug.

Everything worked fine

Or this one already "doctored" - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174768878...3ABFBMiLKb2JJg

Unfortunately they ship with the dreaded Global Shipping Programme.

The circuit board might be different but pins 7 and 8 are like the picture in previous post not connected it seems to the board.
If you look at the connector from the front with the pins coming out then pins 7 and 8 are at the top right ones.

Just make a solder bridge across.

Thanks for the reply, however the photos above and the cable I have purchased are very different I am still not in a position to understand what is required to solder together. Any chance of a clearer photo please of your cable.
Thanks

I will try to upload some photos and I would be very pleased if you would take the trouble to point out which are the pin 7 and 8.
thanks.

PS it would appear that I am not allowed to upload photos, there is no options 'manage attachments', why is that?
