Default Norton motorcycles go electric.

Oh er! missus, I can hear the purists screaming from here, Norton motorcycles have just been awarded a £17.2million grant to go electric by the UK Government & industry funding https://www.nortonmotorcycles.com/st...ation-journey/

To the believers (including me who once Dominated) the move serves to preserve a glorious name in the annals. However, how on Earth can they reproduce the sound? Just not the same. But, worth the jobs.

How is an electric bike going to kick back viciously when you try to start it like my Commando did if I got it wrong Bruised my instep, couldn't walk on rough ground for a week.

Or leave oil drips on your new block paving?

Part of the joy of riding a bike is the smell and the noise.

There was an Electric motorcycle at Goodwood a couple of years ago, it just didnt sound right. I think the drive chain made the most noise.

Bring back a two stroke triple on full throttle at 9000 rpm

what about an LPG version. has anyone ever seen one ? it would not be a difficult thing to do. keeps the emissions down and the sound up.
