Question Water Leak Problem in Cabin - Robert hall

Rover 75 tourer 2006 water leak problem. I cleaned the plenum drain. Water still coming in to near side foot wells. No sun roof. Boot dry. S Ireland.

If the carpet is soaked it will show water for weeks unless you remove the carpet and dry it out properly.

Could be the actual drainpipe from the plenum chamber loose or leaking where it drops down through the bulk head.

I have a saloon which had severe rain leaks into the cabin front and rear. I had no option but to take out all of the carpet. After cleaning and drying the carpet I leave hidden tissues (but with gaps between them) stuffed in the edges of carpet or trim and comparing the wet and dry tissues can give a hint at where the rain water may be coming from and going.

seem to recall scuttle panel clips need sealing in some instances.

I may have damaged it when poking out the muck that was in it. i have a spare. Thank you.
