KV6 - normal for coolant to rise out of tank with cap removed?
My ZT has always done this…..
Even from cold, if I remove the cap and start it, the coolant will rise and overflow out the tank. It never over heats, and has been in a long hold up. I’ve bled the system as best as possible. It done this with the old engine and with its replacement engine. New thermostat, water pump, cap etc. I can only assume that it is normal behaviour? |

I'm afraid it's not normal Ashley, there is something wrong.
When you bled both your engines did you follow the MG Rover procedure exactly? I think you mean at the bottom of the tank don't you Ron? That's where the tabs marked MIN and MAX are. Simon
